The next call for proposals is expected in Fall 2013.

University Outreach & International Programs (UOIP) requests proposals that will foster new programs and initiatives related to:

• International research, educational and academic outreach activities and programs

• Continuing, distance and lifelong learning and academic engagement with the broader society

Funding will be awarded from $5,000 up to $15,000 per proposal.

Preference will be given to proposals that:

• Create new educational engagement and international programs
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations
• Offer promise for additional funding or support
• Are matched with funds from other sources
• Support activities that can be sustained beyond the seed grant
• Build new partnerships

Eligibility:
Proposals will only be accepted from members of the UC Davis faculty.

Proposal Submittal Requirements:

1. Seed Grant Proposal Cover Sheet (.doc)

2. Proposal (up to 5 pages), including these elements:

• A detailed activity description
• Describe benefits and relationship to engagement or international programs
• Proposed budget with accompanying narrative
• Documentation of matching support (preferred but not required)
• Indication of how the educational program or activity will be sustained

3. Letters of Support (Optional).

Electronic copies of your proposal should be sent by October 31, 2012 to
