We are writing to follow-up on a recent California Aggie news article concerning travel to Mexico during the upcoming quarter break.  Specifically, we want to provide specific contact information on the Travel Alert issued by the United States Department of State.   The Travel Alert urges individuals to be aware of the heightened violence that is occurring in some parts of Mexico and to seek information about local safety and health issues.  We encourage students to review this alert prior to traveling and to seek additional information available at the Department of State website, at:

The upcoming spring quarter break commonly provides an opportunity for students to engage in a range of positive activities, ranging from community service projects to international travel.  As always, we encourage students to engage in these activities in a safe, responsible and informed manner.
