Study Abroad

Over 1,500 UC Davis students study and work abroad in diverse programs on six continents every year. A large majority of our students, however, are not able to participate because of financial limitations and consequently receive an incomplete education.

 

Expand students’ access to studying abroad and greatly enhance their education, particularly for limited resource students.

Faculty Initiatives

Since 2001 we have awarded over a million dollars to launch 134 creative projects in international programs and outreach. These awards have resulted in many long-term projects and $29 million dollars in matching funds and grants, representing a return on investment ratio of 1 to 29. However, we are only able to fund 25% of the requests.
