Purpose

1. Meet with the Ministry of Education's International Collaboration department to advance knowledge on Chinese policy in international higher education and collaboration.
2. Meet with China Academy of Agricultural Sciences regarding the possibility of establishing a summer program.
3. Advance university partnerships with Zhejiang University and Peking University.
4. Meetings with alumni to advance development goals.
5. Attend Jiangnan University’s 50th anniversary celebration in Wuxi. UC Davis has had a strong partnership with Jiangnan University in Food Science for nearly 30 years.

Outcomes

1. Advanced relationships with China Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Zhejiang University and Peking University.
2. Advanced knowledge of Chinese education policy in terms of international education.
3. Advanced relationships with alumni and friends of UC Davis.
4. Delivered a keynote speech at Jiangnan University’s celebration.
